This curriculum assumes that you already possesses some basic knowledge of the Khmer language - indeed that you have already mastered Survival Khmer and know how to greet and interact with your patients, even if it this is done on a simple level. Please also note that not every illness and body part are covered in this text.
This resource is meant to be a beginning point for your further learning of medical terms in Khmer. You will also note this resource uses the same phonetic format as Survival Khmer, Christian Survival Khmer, and Buddhist Survival Khmer. This particular format is designed to allow you to jump into learning Khmer quickly. Simply read the phonetics as you would read English. But please consult the Medical Survival Khmer CD to listen to the proper pronunciation given by a Khmer national.
